Jim Wood Assembly Campaign Gains Early Support From Key Statewide Labor Group
Healdsburg – Democrat Jim Wood, a seven-year member of the Healdsburg City Council and current Mayor, has received the support of the California School Employees Association (CSEA).
“I am proud to have received the support of a strong labor union that fights for the rights of such a diverse group of workers across California,” said Wood.
Jim Wood has been active in the community since opening his family dental practice in Cloverdale over 25 years ago. He served on the Healdsburg Planning Commission for four years before being elected to the Healdsburg City Council in 2006. Jim currently serves as Mayor of Healdsburg a position he held in 2010.

The 2nd Assembly district is one of the largest in California and includes Del Norte, Humboldt, Trinity, and Mendocino counties, and the northern half of Sonoma County. Jim Wood has received the endorsement of Assemblymember Wes Chesbro who currently represents the 2nd Assembly district, Assemblymember Chesbro cannot seek re-election due to term limits.
